Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to arrive early for my first appointment?

We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early so that you can have time to fill out any remaining intake forms.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

When you arrive, we'll ask you for your ID, your insurance card (both dental and medical insurance information - we can bill medical insurance for many procedures), and any patient information forms you may have filled out already. If you still need to fill out any intake forms, we will help you by providing those.

What should I expect in a regular exam?

During your exam, a member of our team will examine your jaw joint, your gums, and your teeth to create a record of your oral health that we can rely on as you come back! We also take x-rays on your first visit and intermittently after that to make sure that we are always have the full view of any problem spots that may arise.

How often should I schedule an appointment?

We recommend coming in for a routine exam every 6 months. This gives us a chance to catch any issues as soon as they present themselves. We also perform a thorough cleaning, removing any plaque buildup that occurs even with the best brushing and flossing.

How long does a regular appointment last?

If you're coming to us for something other than a routine exam, the time of your appointment can vary. But most appointments last between an hour and an hour and a half.
